Oh and I would like config values to speed up the animations. I know about easy move+resize, but it doesn't play nice with Magnet or other window management tools in my experience. The two linux things I want are the move window to next/prev just like you, and while mac has a key combo you can setup to click and move a window from anywhere in it I also want the same thing for resize. You can also drag desktops from one screen to the other. If you're running multiple screens each one has it's own independent set of virtual desktops, and each screen cycles through them individually. Perhaps current tech over there has picked up these improvements too but I haven't tried in years. The current MacOS implementation has some serious advantages over the historic linux setup though. Before that I had run a 2x4 grid of virtual desktops. I used compiz back in the before times to set up the cube and all that to do this type of thing. Linux is where I picked this habit up as well. Linux's distros have native keyboard shortcuts to move windows to the prev/next space. Click dragging a window while hitting the key combo works but I want a 100% keyboard option to go with my 100% mouse option depending on what I am currently doing. ![]() I would like to be able to keybind "move to next/prev desktop with current window" to the keyboard too but I haven't found a way to get a 100% keyboard driven workflow (yet). I also have ctrl-arrow keys move between desktops. I use SteerMouse to bind the mouse keys to the actions I want (and adjust my mouse settings, I don't like mouse acceleration). If you click and drag a window while using those you can bring the window with you to the new desktop. I mainly use binding my mouse tilt wheel left and right to move to next/prev desktop, and I have a thumb key that opens mission controls show all windows function. You can set shortcuts to send window to desktop 1/2/3/etc. System prefs > keyboard > shortcuts > mission control.
